This is foundation American r&b/rock'n'roll. The box set contains a 40 page booklet with rare photographs, artist biographies, and in-depth discographical information on the contained singles.

Songwriter Luke Allen's tunes about the beat-up but still-standing are more literature than pop-rock, but his backing band (members of Morning 40 Federation and Royal Fingerbowl among other rock outfits), provide ample muscle.
